A Clinical Trial on Digestive Compound. (Festal Forte^(®)) in Symptoms of Non-ulcer Dyspepsia Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
The Dyspepsia is one of the most common gastrointestinal symptoms, and which is frequently resistant to treatment.
This study was performed to evaluate the effect of the digestive compound (Festal Forte®) on the 30 dyspepsia patients.
On the open trial, all patients were given 6 tablets daily for 2 weeks and evaluated by the degrees of the improvement.
1. The improvement of symptoms was 78.9% (15/19) in abdominal distension, 66.7% (12/18) in flatulence, 66.7%(6/9) in nausea, 63.6%(7/11) in anorexia, and 59.1% (13/22) in abdominal discomfort and pain.
2. There was not an untoward effect of the preparation during the trial.
3. Comprehensive effectiveness of subjective symptoms was 73.3%(21/30).
So, this preparation was suggested to be effective to relieve symptoms of non-ulcer dyspepsia patients.
